Today was just so gorgeous: blue skies, sunlight, cooler air, the clouds of dust rising from the local soybean fields as harvesters go to and fro...
Between rounds of Nordic Lights sock, I drove mom around the countryside so she could take pictures of the landscape and other things, including combines harvesting fields of soybeans. Here be pictures:

I love that yarn! OMG! What beautiful colors!
Also, checked out the pics. Awesome! Although, the flamingoes in West Virginia confuse me...
The flamingos are plastic; mom thought it was funny that the owners of the house in the background stuck them out on the roadsign. We do see seagulls, and we even have a few bald eagles, but I don't think we have anyplace flamingos would find appealing!
The sock is going well, but I've hit a snag. Those little Brittany needles are just too short to do all the picking up of stitches around the heel. Le sigh. :P I'll be writing a yarn review at some point. It's goooooood stuff.
I look forward to seeing these finished.
