Glee!

I just went to the post office and had a hard time keeping myself from squealing with glee because I'd gotten a surprise parcel. The parcel in question came all the way from Seattle, from a lady named Emily (whose blog is here) whose generosity overwhelmed me to the point of near speechlessness. She and I were among the 25 who signed up for the Yarn Snob swap on the Cuppa Tea Ravelry group; Miss Emily was the one given the task of "stalking" me. She did an excellent job of it and I'm truly grateful to her for the effort and thought she put into the box. So, without further ado, photos of my swap box:

I tried the Ban-Cha this afternoon. It's NOTHING like gunpowder green tea! It's got a slightly smokey, nutty flavor--from the toasting, maybe? Almost completely the opposite of the gunpowder green tea I'm familiar with. I'll sneak you a few tea bags. *wink wink nudge nudge*

Seriously. You can get into all kinds of (good) trouble on Ravelry. It's addictive, but an incredible resource if you can put aside any irritation caused by growing pains--i.e. the huge amount of strangely beneficial information on subjects having nothing whatever to do with fiber. Enter at your own risk! :P

*perks up and is super-excited at the prospect of new unusual tea*

I've considered getting in to Ravelry, but haven't yet... it seems somewhat daunting.

Yay!! I got the tea just now. And you know what I had just put water in a kettle for? That's right. Tea. LOL! I was going to say it was good timing on your part, but then I realized that it was really good timing on the mailcarrier's part. :D Thanks! It smells delicious! I'll let you know if I have any insight about the best way to drink it.

OMG! This Ban-Cha is delicious! It might be the best green tea I've ever had. I'm drinking it plain with some Splenda because I try to avoid excess sugar.

And I completely agree.
