Wintery!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful! The flakelets are beginning to fly, so it's time for the big fuzzy hat to come out. Since it's blorping cold and the light's gone for the day, the hat and I chose to stay indoors for our little photo op. I'm so glad the weather's finally gotten appropriately wintery!

Hey, hon! I was checking out the new Knitty, and there's an article about a faster way to finish the toes of socks when one works from the cuff down to the toe... So depending on how you're doing the ones that you're working on, it might be helpful. http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter08/FEATgraft.php

It's awful. I haven't even picked a pattern yet. *sniff* I'm an awful procrastinator. Since it's unlikely the socks will be worn as anything but bedsocks, it doesn't have to be anything super-fancy, so it can just be a simple top down or simple toe-up. If I work REALLY hard, I might be able to get them finished in time, especially if I use size 3 needles.

Thank you for the link! :) Anything that helps me get these guys done with minimal fuss is going to be useful. *HUG!*

You're most welcome.

I don't mean to alarm you, but I'd be flipping out if I needed to make something for Christmas and I hadn't even picked out a pattern at this late a date. O.O

The new Knitty has some interesting looking sock patterns, including one that has a matching fingerless mitt pattern (I'm so excited about that!). You might want to check them out.

Fear not, my friend, for the yarn is worsted and I will most assuredly prevail over the sock monster! ;)

Still, I do appreciate the nudge. :P

Well, that's good! Worsted socks go along much quicker. Best of luck to you on your brave quest! I look forward to hearing of its successful conclusion. ;D
